Privacy

Hubcess is a free guide to Senior High Schools in Ghana. Browsing it needs no account, and we keep very little about you. This page says exactly what we keep and why.

What we collect when you browse

Nothing that identifies you. Searching, filtering and comparing schools needs no sign-up. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored on your own device so the site remembers it, and is never sent to us.

Counting visits

We count how often pages are opened and which actions are taken, such as filtering schools or sharing one, so we know what families find useful. These are plain counts. We set no cookie, we do not store your IP address or browser details, and we cannot tell one visitor from another. Roughly where a visit came from (country, and an approximate city) is worked out from your network address at the moment of the visit and only the place is kept. We do not count visits from browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Place data comes from the DB-IP lite database (db-ip.com).

The testimonial form

If you share a testimonial we store the three things you type: your name, your role (for example parent or student) and your message, which is at most 200 characters. We review each one before it can appear. If it is approved, your name, role and message are shown publicly on the home page, so please do not write anything you want to keep private.

To have your testimonial changed or removed, write to info@hubcess.com with the name and message you used. We will remove it.

Staff accounts

Only Hubcess staff sign in. Signing in sets a session cookie so the site knows who is editing. Visitors never receive it, and pages made for visitors are always loaded without it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we show no ads. The site is hosted on Netlify, which handles ordinary web server logs, such as the address of the page requested, to deliver the site.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by writing to info@hubcess.com. See also the terms of use.
